About Refresh Automotive

Our story starts humbly in Caversham, all the way back in 1989.

We had a very old site on Kidmore Road, this was our home for just over 20 years.
During this period, Grosvenor Motor Company underwent a gradual transformation. Evolving from a modest village garage into a well regarded local BMW specialist. We built a reputation for quality work and reliable service but as our customer base grew, it became increasingly clear that our facilities were struggling to keep up with demand. Space was a constant challenge.

In 2010, our then owners Pete and Marie took a bold step, moving the business to our current ex-Fiat main dealer site to accommodate growing demand. This decision marked the start of an exciting new chapter, allowing us to expand into becoming the largest BMW specialist in Europe.

As the business flourished, we noticed a reoccurring request from our customers. “Could we look after their non-BMW vehicles too?”.

Time and time again, we listened to customer’s stories and experiences about taking their car to the garage. Dirty surroundings, being talked down to, hidden costs, long waits and overall poor service.

It never felt right to turn them away. So, in 2025, we decided to step in and do things differently!

Refresh Automotive was launched, under Grosvenor Motor Company to meet that demand and create a positive customer journey. Backed by the same values that have guided us, since day one.

With a growing team of amazing people, fantastic customers and a postive attitude. We make looking after your car a stress free experience, no matter what you drive!

We aim to create a space in which everyone is comfortable with car maintenance. As such, we’re excited to offer free car maintenance workshops. These workshops are perfect for anyone who wants to learn essential car care skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
